1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Galápagos & Beyond website and any cruise, tour, or accommodation booking made through it. Galápagos & Beyond is an Ecuador-based travel agency operating in the Galápagos Islands and mainland Ecuador. By browsing this site or making a booking, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings and pricing

Prices for cruises are pulled from live availability at the ship operators and are shown per person in US dollars. Prices for tours and stays are set by Galápagos & Beyond. All prices are subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed and paid; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay for that booking.

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received and you receive a confirmation email. Submitting an inquiry or availability request does not constitute a confirmed booking.

3. Payments

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal. Galápagos & Beyond does not store your full payment card details. Depending on the product, full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking, with the balance due before departure — this will be made clear before you pay.

4. Cancellations and changes

Cancellation policies vary by cruise, tour, and season, and will be disclosed to you before you confirm a booking. Galápagos National Park fees, transit control cards, and similar third-party government fees are generally non-refundable once issued. Weather, sea conditions, or park authority decisions may require itinerary changes; we will do our best to notify you and offer reasonable alternatives.

5. Travel documents and health

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any required visas, and the Galápagos Transit Control Card (TCT). We strongly recommend travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical care, and evacuation. Some activities (snorkeling, hiking, diving) carry inherent physical risk; let us know about any medical conditions or mobility needs before booking.

6. Third-party operators

Cruises are operated by independently owned and licensed vessels; accommodations may be operated by third parties. Galápagos & Beyond arranges these bookings on your behalf but is not the operator of the vessel or property, and each operator's own terms, safety standards, and conduct rules apply on board or on site.

7. Conduct in the Galápagos National Park

All visitors must follow Galápagos National Park regulations, including staying on marked trails, keeping a safe distance from wildlife, and following your naturalist guide's instructions at all times.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Ecuadorian law, Galápagos & Beyond is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts, omissions, or negligence of independent third-party operators (ships, hotels, transport providers). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador. Any dispute arising from a booking will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ecuador, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
